Foundry has released Mari 4.6v3, the latest version of its texture painting software, apart from fixes in the detected issues, there are new feature enhancements in this release.

Feature Enhancements
- ID 422495 - Improved performance of Mari when switching between layers and editing the Nodegraph. The following optimisations were made:
. Nodegraph changes that do not affect the currently active input of the Viewer node no longer trigger Shader Compilation or Scalar Data checks. These include the addition and removal of nodes/layers, enabling or disabling nodes/layers or their inputs and rewiring nodes/re-ordering layers.
. The Selection Group palette now only triggers a refresh when the current Object or Object version is changed.
. Advanced Blending options in the Layerstack would compile when switching layers. Now, this UI is only built when the button is selected.
. Bake Points have been improved to avoid System Shaders causing incorrect downstream propagation when input connections were changed.
. Less time is spent building UI widgets for Layer and Node properties resulting in faster set-up times.
Bug Fixes
- ID 421639 - When working with the Nodegraph open, using Backdrop nodes would cause the application performance to drop.
- ID 424126 - After dragging and dropping a Material into Node Graph, undoing the creation of Material node would cause a crash.
- ID 422984 - Diffuse lighting from an Environment Light did not compile correctly if cubemap arrays were disabled or unavailable on the current platform.
- ID 426586 - Any changes made downstream from a Group node would incorrectly be ignored by a Bake Point and the UI would not display as out-of-date.
- ID 424060 - Changes made to a nested node would not correctly propagate downstream and dirty a Bake Point node outside of the Group.
- ID 423099 - Pop-Up Dialogs were unable to be closed using the window [X] button on macOS.
- ID 423119 - The Color Picker dialog could not be resized properly on macOS.
- ID 414321 - Using the TAB key in the Nodegraph would not always spawn the Create Node pop-up menu.
- ID 423268 - On macOS, using the TAB key would not spawn the Create Node pop-up dialog in the NodeGraph if the user had previously edited Node Properties.
- ID 423834 - Selecting 'Custom' from the OCIO Config dropdown in the Project Settings dialog would cause Mari to crash on macOS.
- ID 423843 - Exporting a Layer would cause an intermittent crash on macOS
- ID 425040 - Rendering in the Modo Render & Bake Palette would not update in real time when moving the camera around.
- ID 422832 - When attempting to bake from the Modo Palette to an unspecified destination, the warning dialog contained incorrect grammar.
